Gibson J-Moohundred One-of-a-kind Custom Acoustic Guitar! J-200 SJ-200 (Sold!)

Price: $3,999

Here we a very special guitar for sale – The Gibson J-Moohundred Custom! This is the only one ever built. It was originally built for a TV commercial and later sold off. The build date is 1997.

These are the kinds of guitars which will be worth some serious money someday. Rarity determines value and things don’t get much more rare than one-of-a-kind! That’s why custom color Stratocasters from the 60’s are worth a fortune now days! Collectors will love this guitar.

This guitar commands some serious attention. You don’t see something like this every day – or hardly ever, for that matter.

Don’t let the novelty of this guitar fool you, it is a serious tone monster! It plays and sounds like a masterpiece from the luthiers at Gibson! In all honesty, it is one of the best sounding maple J-200s I’ve owned. I’ve owned a lot of them. Being a custom order, I’m sure Gibson took a lot of time making sure this guitar was built and set up right.

The guitar features a Sitka spruce top, with maple back and sides. The fretboard is a nice cut of rosewood, along with the bridge. The neck, I presume, is also maple. Though, this would be difficult to determine for sure.

The guitar has seen very little play time, so it is in excellent condition. There is some typical finish checking, as one would expect of a guitar this age. It follows along the back center seam and can also be found on the back of the headstock and a few other areas. It’s quite minimal.

Included with the guitar are a set of horns which can be attached to the headstock, if desired. This adds to the novelty of the guitar. It’s a great piece!

Two sets of paperwork and two labels were created for the guitar. One set reads “J-Moohundred” and the other reads the standard “J-200.” These can be seen in the photos. This is great for collectability.

Included is the original hard shell case and all paperwork.
